COVID-19: AIIMS director makes this big announcement about vaccine in India
“This is extremely excellent news that AstraZeneca got approval for its vaccine by UK regulatory authorities. they need robust data and in India and therefore the same vaccine is being developed by the Serum Institute of India. this is often an enormous breakthrough not just for India but many parts of the planet ,” Dr Guleria told ANI in an interview.
“This vaccine are often stored at two to eight degrees centigrade. Therefore it might be easy to store and transportation. Storage are often done employing a simple fridge instead of what’s required within the Pfizer vaccine of minus 70 degrees centigrade,” he added.
Talking about the the roll out of COVID-19 vaccine in India, Dr Guleria said, “India to roll out COVID-19 vaccines for an outsized a part of the country and thus we’ll see the vaccine available in our country within the very near future.”

It is to be noted that Dr Guleria may be a member of the national task force on Covid-19 management. Dr Guleria noted that India features a “robust plan as far because the vaccination is concerned”.
